Eight ways to destroy America
Eight ways to destroy AmericaDear Editor, Former governor Dick Lamm recently spoke at a Washington, D.C. conference on immigration and overpopulation. His topic was “Eight Ways to Destroy America.”Lamm’s condensed points were:First, to destroy America, turn the United States into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the conflict and antagonism of competing languages and cultures.Second, invent “multiculturalism” and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture.Third, celebrate diversity rather than unity. Ensure that various cultural subgroups living in America reinforce their differences.Fourth, make the fastest-growing demographic group the least educated. Add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated and antagonistic to our population.Fifth, get foundations and business to support these efforts financially. Invest in ethnic identity, and get all minorities to think their lack of success was the fault of the majority.Sixth, provide dual citizenship and promote divided loyalties, balkanizing America as surely as Kosovo.Seventh, place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to discuss anything against “diversity.” Words like “racist” or “xenophobe” halt discussion and debate.Eighth, make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of immigrants. Lastly, Gov. Lamm said censor Victor Davis Hanson’s book, “Mexifornia.” His book exposes the plan behind the invasion. As Gov. Lamm walked back to his seat, it dawned on everyone that our nation and the future of this great democracy are in deep trouble. I remember our heroes who died at the Alamo, fighting for our freedom from Mexico. Now I look around and see all of these residents of Mexico flocking into the United States. Then on May 5, they put on this big show called Cinco de Mayo. That is strictly a Mexican holiday. Why did these people come to this country if what they had in Mexico was so wonderful? Why are they trying to turn this country into what they left? They are pulling the USA down to the level of the country they left. The people coming won’t even learn English and want the residents of the USA to learn Spanish for their convenience and comfort. Learn our ways or go back where you came from. This goes for the transplants from California or anywhere else that have moved into this area. We were just fine until you came here and wanted to change what we have, what you wanted in the first place. Natalie SmithRifle
