Flash flood watch issued for Grizzly Creek burn area

A flash flood watch is in effect for the Grizzly Creek Fire burn area in Glenwood Canyon until 10 p.m. tonight. The National Weather Service has issued the warning due to the potential for heavy rainfall, which could cause flash flooding and debris flows.
Residents and travelers near the Grizzly Creek Fire burn area should stay alert. The weather service warns that the heavy rain expected could trigger dangerous flooding and debris flows in and around the burn scars, including in Glenwood Canyon. Those in the area are advised to keep updated with local authorities at weather.gov/safety/flood.
