The Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association is hosting an Issues and Election Forum in partnership with CoWest Noticias Collaborative partners Thursday evening in Glenwood Springs.

The forum is free to attend and will include candidates for Roaring Fork School District Board of Directors and information on local ballot measures 7A and 7C.

The event is slated for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 at Morgridge Commons on the second floor of the Glenwood Springs Public Library.

Peter Baumann, publisher and editor of the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and Raleigh Burleigh, editor-in-chief for the Sopris Sun, will co-moderate the event.

“We are honored to provide this longstanding education opportunity for the community,” Angie Anderson, president and CEO of the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association, said in a Friday news release announcing the event. “There are very important measures on the ballot as well as candidates for the Roaring Fork School District Board. These impact our entire community and our future.”

The CoWest Noticias Collaborative, composed of the Aspen Daily News, Aspen Journalism, Aspen Public Radio, Aspen Times, KDNK, La Tricolor, Post Independent, Sol De Valle and Sopris Sun, are assisting in Thursday night’s forum.

Although there is no virtual option for live participation on Thursday night, a recording of the forum will be available in both English and Spanish after the event concludes.
