Glenwood Springs Historical Society archive: Yampah Flour delivery

George Parmer is shown, circa 1920, driving a Franklin Chain Drive Truck loaded with “Yampah Flour.” Farmers brought wheat to the mill located on the Roaring Fork River owned by W.W. Livingston where it would be custom milled and the farmers could return home with their winter’s supply of flour. A superior brand milled later was called, “Columbine”, and Livingston started supplying flour to both local and distant markets also. The mill was located where the Delsas Riverside Complex/Riverside Cottages was located on old Colorado Highway 82 to the south of Rosebud Cemetery.
