A road work camp whose occupants were part of those crews widening and improving Highway 40 through Glenwood Canyon is seen in this photo from the mid-1930s on the north side of the Colorado River. A small bridge is visible from the camp crossing the Colorado River to allow access to the train tracks. This was transportation into and out of the Canyon as well as for transport of supplies to the camp.
