Anna Liisa Koski, age 57, passed away on September 18th, 2023 in her home in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Anna was born on February 5th, 1966 in Orlando, Florida. She was the daughter of Arther Emil Koski and Margaret Ann (Mattson) Koski. She was a 1984 graduate of Columbine High School in Littleton Colorado. While in high school she participated in volleyball, cross country, and track. In her senior year of high school, she was given the “Vouge Award” due to her excellent sense of fashion. Anna also completed some college at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. Anna married Paul Esbeck on July 1, 1998, in Glenwood Springs. Anna was an employee of City Market for over 20 years and later was an employed caretaker with SummitWest Care. Anna was greatly known for her quick, smart, and sarcastic sense of humor. She was often seen driving through town in her bright blue Mazda Miata with the top down listening to her favorite music. Anna also adored being a mother and loved her daughter more than anything else.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Margaret Esbeck of Glenwood Springs; her step-mother Suzanne (Nelson) Koski of Morrison, Colorado; her two sisters, Karen (Wayne) Koski-Miller of Reisterstown, Maryland; Enid (Terry) Peura of Wallingford, Pennsylvania; her two brothers; Eric (Shiho) Koski of Fairport, New York, and Karl Koski of Fort Collins, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and ex-husband Paul Esbeck.
A celebration of Anna’s life will be held on May 18th at 1 o’clock at Veltus Park in Glenwood Springs.
