Glen Eugene Eash was born on November 24, 1946 in LaGrange, IN to John Henry Eash and Edna Lambright Eash. After high school, he worked for the mobile home industry while furthering his education in South Bend, IN. After marrying Ingrid Troyer Eash in 1969, they both fell in love with Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, and they moved to the state in 1971. They soon settled in Glenwood Springs, CO, where he found a love for skiing and snowmobiling. He also became a devoted fan and nearly 40 year season ticket holder of the Denver Broncos.

Once in the Roaring Fork Valley, he eventually started G-Electric, an electrical contracting business that worked up and down the valley over the next 4 decades in both residential and commercial. He provided services to many beloved businesses in Glenwood Springs, including the Hot Springs Pool, Hotel Colorado, Hotel Denver, and Center Drug. He long maintained the glowing cross on Red Mountain, and had a collection of classic Corvettes that took part in the Strawberry Day Parade. He built a number of dwellings for his family over the years, including on Highway 82, Four Mile Road, and Red Mountain, as well as completely renovated a historic 1902 Victorian house on Cooper Street that he called the “Kaiser House” after the original builder (also an electrician).

After “retiring” in 2012, they moved to Grand Junction, CO, where he proceeded to build another custom house while renovating a number of properties. He was diagnosed with Bulbar-onset ALS in 2022, and passed on August 13, 2025 due to complications.

“G” will be remembered for his love of family, his work ethic, and for capturing the lives of his friends and family on film. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor (he was “wired” differently), his wealth of knowledge of all things construction, and for his service to others in need. He is survived by Ingrid, sons Matthew (Lora) and Carter, granddaughters Lillian, Sadie, and Emery, his siblings and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents and River Rumsey Eash.
