She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1964 and attended Hibbing Junior College Nursing School. On May 29, 1965, she married the love of her life, Sam Skramstad, with whom she shared a beautiful life.

A dedicated volunteer for organizations like RSVP and St. Mary’s Hospital, Julie was always giving back to her community. She was a breast cancer survivor, a testament to her resilience. Julie found joy in spending time with her family, sewing, clogging, scuba diving, and traveling. Her infectious smile and compassionate nature touched everyone she met. She was a cherished wife, mother, “Gram,” “Grammy Julie,” and friend.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Adelaide Woods, and her brothers, Steven, Michael, and Joe.
