The Glenwood Springs Demons opened their 2025 varsity football season Friday night at Stubler Memorial Field, falling to the Elizabeth Cardinals 23-14 on “Neon Night.”

The Cardinals built a 17-point first-half lead that proved too much for a young Demons squad to overcome. Glenwood battled throughout the game but couldn’t close the gap against the more experienced Cardinals.
