June First Friday, “Local Pride”

What: Head to downtown Carbondale for a June First Friday celebration of local pride featuring a Pride Parade, live music, food trucks, street activities, games and more. 

When: 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 5

CCC’s Pairings

What: The Carbondale Clay Center joins artisan-made drinkware with handcrafted beverages in  its local event “Pairings.” Purchase a mug or cup from the exhibition and redeem it for a beverage from drink partners including Marble Distillery, Carbondale Beer Works, El Dorado, Pollinator Chocolate or more during Carbondale’s First Friday.

‘Visceral Alchemy: Fine Art + Tattoo’ at Carbondale Arts

What: A new group invitational exhibition curated by Sarah Overbeck and Matt Hays will be on display at the Carbondale Arts Gallery from May 29 to July 3. Featuring several different artists, this exhibition explores the fine art behind tattooing and examines the relationship between personal and professional art forms. 

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday through July 3

Homeward Bound: NMDP Fundraiser Movie Night at the Crystal Theatre

What: Support local runners Jessi and Sara and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) at this screening of “Homeward Bound” at Carbondale’s Crystal Theatre. Jessi and Sara are running the Disney Marathon and fundraising for NMDP, which is a global nonprofit that helps save lives through blood cell and bone marrow transplants. 

When: 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9

Wilderness Workshop’s Community Party

What: Celebrate public lands with Wilderness Workshop during a free community party at 

Carbondale’s Sopris Park. Catch up with friends while enjoying good music and tasty bites from food trucks and learn about Wilderness Workshop. 

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11

Where: Sopris Park, 601 Euclid Ave., Carbondale

Fourth Annual Summer Block Party

What: Stop by New Castle’s Burning Mountain Park for the Fourth Annual Summer Block Party on Friday, June 12. Enjoy live music by The Intaglios and The Mixx and visit Chamber member booths while snacking on food from Mama’s Pierogi and the Rolling Fork. 

When: 5:30-9 p.m. Friday, June 12 

Where: Burning Mountain Park, 741 E. Burning Mountain Ave., New Castle

How much: Free

The Devereux Polo Cup, hosted by the Roaring Fork Polo Club

What: Spend a day watching the 2026 Annual Devereux Polo Cup at New Castle’s Stout Ranch on Sunday, June 14. Live polo matches are accompanied by food and live music during this annual event honoring the community’s local heritage and this historic sport. Proceeds from the event support the New Castle Historic Museum. 

When: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14 

Where: Stout Ranch, 2000 Baldy Creek Rd., New Castle. Carpooling and four-wheel drive are encouraged.
