CHARLES EDWARD STRUWE
Charles ( Charlie) E. Struwe was born on October 12, 1965, in Oak Lawn, IL. He passed away suddenly in Rockford, IL on December 4, 2025. Charlie spent his younger years growing up with family in Chicago, IL. At age 14, the family moved to Rifle CO where he attended Rifle High School engaging in Football and Track. He met his wife, Kristin Struwe on a blind date in August of 1988 having been set up by their best friends. Charlie and Kris were married in 1990, and their daughter Megan was born in June of 1991. Charlie also helped raise Kris’s son Levi Trujillo and happy to have a “bonus” son. Charlie and Kris raised their family and lived in Rifle, Parachute and Grand Junction before work moved them to the Midwest. Charlie worked for Collins Aerospace and was living in Roscoe, IL at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Kristin Struwe, Levi Trujillo, daughter Megan Manimtim (Mark) granddaughter MaKenzie Manimtim, his mother Nell Struwe, brother Robert Struwe (Annie Herin) and sister Kathie Harris (Dean) He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Struwe. Charlie had many friends and relatives and was loved by all of them. His death has left a deep void in all their lives.
Services will be held in Battlement Mesa at All Saints Episcopal Church 150 Sipprelle Drive. At 1pm on Saturday, April 18th2026.
