Neil McKay Johnson, 85, gained his wings June 3, 2025 at St. Mary’s hospital surrounded by his family. Neil was born in Oakland, CA and grew up in Batavia, IL. He graduated from GJ High School in 1958 and soon thereafter joined and served in the Army. He was stationed in Germany for 3 years. In 1964 he married Marguerite Bock. They raised their family in Silt, CO. Neil is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite Johnson, son, Kurt Johnson, daughters, Morgan (Brian) Hammond, Meredith (Steve) Batterman, Heather Johnson and cherished grandchildren Brant Bear, Deatra Bear, Rachel Batterman, Patrick Johnson, Timothy Johnson. Steven Batterman and Christopher Johnson. He is preceded in death by his parents Eloise and Edward Johnson, and brother Steven Johnson. He is survived by his twin brother Owen (Carol) Johnson, sisters Sue Poe, and Joanna (Jack) Barry. Neil is greatly missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Fly high Dad, we love you and miss you so much!
