The Coal Ridge Invitational track and field meet at Coal Ridge High School opened Friday under a fresh 3 inches of snow.

Spring weather on the Western Slope can be unpredictable, but locals are used to adapting, and Friday was no exception. Athletes and spectators pushed through the snowy conditions as high school talent stood out at Coal Ridge High School.
